Christmas is coming and the Goose is getting fat
I looked into the mirror and said,
Well, that is just a fact
My doctor said it’s serious,
that I should really lose some weight
So, this year I’m going to have
just sprouts upon me plate
And possibly a smidgin’ of some cauliflower cheese
Of course, a roast potato,
or maybe two or three
I’d really like some stuffing,
it’s only once a year
Without the pigs in blankets
well, Christmas isn’t here
I think I’ll try the gravy,
just a little puddle
With some of that red wine I bought,
to keep my brain befuddled
I’m definitely going to have some
of that lovely rare roast beef
Then the Christmas pudding,
with custard and ice cream
With some cheese to finish,
then off to the land of dreams
Maybe I’ll wait until New Year
to turn over that new leaf
GOOSED:
To encourage or cause something or someone to be more active.
(Cambridge English Dictionary)
We all have the best of intentions at Christmas, and yet we all eat and
drink way too much!
