Inception 4

Welcome to volume four of Inception – The Wordbotherers  magazine.

As spring moves slowly into summer, our small group has been reflecting on the achievements of the first six months. We all enjoy creative writing and now pursue ways of presenting and sharing our work to an appreciative audience. Utilising modern publishing tools we hope to offer these thought-provoking musings to any who finds them interesting.

Lillian published her first book as a wordbotherer, ‘Welcome to my World’ – a collection of short stories and poems inspired by living in the picturesque Yorkshire town of Pickering. Here, her provocative poetry and whimsical musings are presented with colourful illustrations as a diverse anthology of her early work. Through this collection, the reader is introduced to the World of Lillian and her deeper fantasies of what might have been.

P.J. published his second collection of poems, The Thistle and the Rose. This is a dedication to the love he shared with his wife and contains poems and short stories of how they first met, their school days, their wedding and marriage, families and finally how he dealt with her untimely death. It is a ‘memoir that many of you will recognise from your own relationships, yet entirely individualistic. A schoolboy prank by twelve year old boys lead to a relationship that lasted forty-seven years. We had a wonderful life together. She will always be with me.’

Well done Lillian and P.J. on their recent work and we look forward to their next publications. Details of how you can get hold of their work can be found on the author’s pages of our website at

We hope you enjoy this volume of Inception.
